I’m not really sure what to write here. I missed last month due to an unexpected (feline) death in the family – and due to finding out I need to find a new place to live (still working on that), all of which caused me to completely forget IWSG.
I’m now in this kind of limbo, which I will call contract limbo, in which I have this signed contract for a house I was going to purchase which was lost by UPS (seriously!! it is, actually, truly IN THE MAIL – somewhere) and now we’re sort of teetering on this edge of – do we start all over again or do we wait for UPS to find this incredibly important legal document and how angry should I be….just, in general.
And then, should I be anecdotal here or should I write something clever about writing?
People say how you need to take all those emotions and put them into your art.
So that’s what I’m trying to do, I guess, and enjoy the nice weather and try not to freak out too much.
I am behind on everything and have gotten almost nothing done this month. I sold a few non-fiction pieces, did some major edits on a novel and that’s pretty much it.
Sounds like heaps of trouble to me. 🙂

Sometimes you just have to step away for a while. Don’t worry about not writing, or accomplishing goals. When life calms down a bit (and you get into your house) it will all come back to you. Good luck, hope UPS finds the contract for you.
URGH! I hate it when the one thing there was no reason to foresee messed things up! I’m very sorry about your cat, and I will get a little mad on your behalf about the dumb contract. Definitely understandable how that would throw a monkey wrench in things.
I don’t know if I said it before, so I’ll say it here. I’m sorry about your cat. It can be such a heartbreaking loss losing a pet.
What is it about buying houses that always makes things complicated? I think the universe wants to test you or something like that.
You still got lots done writing-wise this month, in my opinion.
Anyway, there is always the next month.
Ugh. I think you have every right to be mad. Hopefully, they find the documents and you can get moving and get on with everything again.

Oh, how frustrating. I hope it all works out soon for your house!
Don’t fret too much. Your writing will wait.
Best wishes.
