FF: R is for Rainbows

#AtoZChallenge 2022 Blogging from A to Z Challenge letter

I still believe in miracles, you said, your final words to me on my death bed.

Now that I’ve joined the great cloud of witnesses, now that I’m watching you from heaven, I wish you will.

You can’t have rainbows without rain, but storms pass. This too shall pass, my love.

At the end of what I hope is a long life, full of joy and new experiences, I’ll be waiting for you here, in heaven, in a world where no one gets judged for the color of their skin, for who they choose to love or how.

This is my post for A-Z challenge letter R and for Friday Fictioneers. Thanks Carole and Rochelle for the prompt. It made me think of colors, finding beauty in “ugliness”, and of rainbows for my “r” word. Hope everyone has a great week/day/month/year.

  1. i’d rather not believe in miracles. that way, if they don’t happen, i won’t get disappointed. if they do happen, they’d be special treats indeed.
