in your eyes
i see
burning coals
smoldering yearning to
spring to life.
what would happen if-
but we can’t-
but we can,
we must,
We will.
other loves, other forms,
other lives
recede into the
distance.
take me as
I am.
tongues of fire burn
coals not consumed by heat,
hearts pulsing to one beat
yearning to be
free
you, as one, with me.
A passionate affair.
A forbidden love?
Great poem!
Sounds like some overpowering emotions are at play here. Positively steaming.
In a way, kind of spooky. Nicely done.
The passion’s very real. Is it spiritual or not, is the intriguing part.
Beautifully executed…smoldering passion.
Dear Anne,
Sensual and passionate. Well written.
Shalom,
Rochelle
