I’m probably going to take a couple days off from public posting again, mostly because I spent most of the past few days working on this book until my brain ran out of thoughts. I wrote over 10,000 words, which is a lot even for me. When I type it out like that, I’m like … wow, that was a lot of writing in one and a half days.
Luke 5:16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
Mark 6:46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.
Luke 6:12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.
Matthew 14:23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone,
Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Matthew 26:36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
First and last of all, pray. A lot of times, we view prayer as an afterthought, something we do when don’t have anything else to do. I don’t know about you, but God has firmly taught me the opposite. The single most important thing I can do is to pray. When I’ve done all I can, I need to trust God to take care of all of the many things I can’t. Because I’m only one person.
God has many other people at God’s disposal – and if you’re reading this then you are one of them. Thanks to all out there fighting the good fight, each in our own way. We literally could not do this without each other.
