I wander through bright, sunlit streets, munching on street snacks purchased from the cheerful guy in a green apron who chatted about his wife and kids.
Then, it happens.
I reach out to ask what you think. And, you’re not there. Or, someone asks me to their place, so I “won’t be alone.” Whether or not I say yes, it won’t matter.
No matter what happens, good or bad, it’s just another day in … I don’t want to say “hell”. It’s not that bad, in this place where I am, right now, without you.
Thanks Rochelle and Roger for this week’s prompt. Like many people right now, I’m sure, feeling the weight of holidays celebrated without ALL of the people I’d most like to be spending them with. But, this too shall pass. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
