The Love Boats
When we first met, it was love at first sight. You were well-built and strong, sturdy steel sides carving a path through water. My gleaming white surfaces glistened in the sun as I glided past.
We said we’d go slow. No promises. No regrets.
But then, something happened, something neither of us expected. And now, there’s a jet ski in my hull. I think it’s yours.
I wait for your response, fingers clasped on my radio.
Static. Held breath. Then, “You are so weird. Call me later, and I’ll pick it up when I’m in port.”

What a piece of fun! Looks like the sturdy strong vessel may be reluctant to admit any responsibility for the jet-ski!
LOL. So like a man. Thanks.
Ha ha – now that was an interesting viewpoint!

Thanks Susan. Glad it made you grin.
Even boats have feelings 🙂
Aw. Yes they do. =D
That was a hoot!
Dear Anne,
That’s a different take. Fun piece.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks Rochelle
What on earth made you think of that? Delightfully different Anne.

LOL. Yeah, I decided to remove the explanation I put at the end, because I’m trying not to add via comment to 100 words. But the picture made me think of two ships kissing. Originally I was going to write a fantastical romance about two boats. Then toward the end I thought this would be even more fun if it was one boat owner pranking another. Also it may be that I have a really weird imagination. I don’t own a boat but I do like to kid around with people in a similar way. Thanks for asking!
Somehow I got the feeling she’s pregnant and he doesnt quite care…
Aw, for what it’s worth, that wasn’t my intention, but if so he is a cad and hopefully she will get him for it!
Fanciful and fun.
I really enjoyed this piece Anne. I got a good chuckle at the end
