Letter found in a bottle:
When I feel completely, utterly alone, you’re there.
You don’t always quiet the storm. You don’t always make me feel better. When all is said and done, I think all we really need, all any of us can give, is that calm, cool certainty. There will be a port out there waiting for you, when your ship is ready to come in.
If today I do not return, I pray you never forget: you were there. You did what you could. I tried to come back, but this time for some reason I couldn’t.
Lovely and mysterious
Wow, well written, lost and found, filled with sadness
Beautiful, I wonder if the recipient ever saw it. Or maybe he or she wasn’t even meant ot see it, it just needed to be said. The sea can handle secrets.
Such a sad letter and so mysterious. Lovely atmosphere and feelings.
Thanks Margaret
Dear Anne,
Very sad letter. There’s more of a story there. Nicely done.
Shalom,
Rochelle
So many unanswered questions here; I really want to know more.
How melancholy. I’d be curious to know more too! Intriguing.
Kind of sad and hopeful. 🙂
