Not Again….
This is the third time this month that I’ve had to call in late to work because of livestock-related traffic delays. Don’t get me wrong, I love living out in the country. It’s beautiful here and the people are great. The roads though – I just don’t know.
I thought this new way to work would be better. Paved all the way and no “Animal Crossing” signs.
Now, watching a herd of sheep stomp past my prone car, all I can think is: yeah, they probably knocked the sign down last time they came through here.
Fun story! Love the ending.

Thanks Yvonne!
Ouch.. Yes living on the countryside you have to live with delays.
Ha! Very funny. A delightful take on the prompt.
Dear Anne,
Now if we could just teach animals to read the signs, too. Cute story.

Great story.
Nice work. 🙂

Funny story, Anne. Yep, sheep could easily knock down a sign. I guess that means she gets up earlier to start earlier. Good writing. 😀 — Suzanne
