
Decision Time
“We would like to offer you the position, if you are still interested.”
Emilia blanks out for a second, standing in her kitchen, watching water start to boil. Time to add the spaghetti to the pot. In a second. She doesn’t quite trust her hands right now.
She only applied and interviewed because her friend Meghan told her “she had to do it.” No way, she thought, would they choose her, fly her across the Atlantic Ocean, pay moving expenses.
And, she could say no. She could, but…
“Yes. When do I start?”
