I was homeless and had nothing. She had everything: a car and a house and a kind word for a stranger….
Years later, at her funeral, I break down.
My feelings are a mess. In my dreams, I thought I’d see her again. I would say thanks and show how far I’ve come, how right she’d been to help.
Maybe – one day – I can do the same for others.
Pass it on, a great way to honour someone’s memory.
So true. Thanks so much.
A moment of realisation
Thanks Neil!
No maybe about it, 😉
Very true. Thank you.
Your story has given me renewed hope that the guy I handed some money to, the little family asking for food, the Salvation Army pot I fed, may actually show some returns long after I’m dead and gone. I’m not wealthy by any means, but I have enough. Sharing it is a carefully considered option. Trying to choose wisely is not easy.
Linda, what a beautiful testimony. Thank you so much for sharing. Total agreement there. We can only do what we can do.
There is nothing better than when people repay the kindness shown to them by paying it forward. Nice one.
Dear Anne,
What a lovely story. You don’t give us names or tell us the narrator’s full story. But you don’t need to. This speaks volumes.
Shalom,
Rochelle
A simple act of kindness can go a long way. Nice story.
A RAOK is always a welcome for those who are down and out.
I like where you ventured with the prompt.
Have a wonderful week … Be Safe

A beautiful piece of prose.
